Gamesa began manufacturing their turbines in 2001 – 2003 the first prototype was the G52 which was installed in 2001. The G52-850kW and the later G58 is especially well-suited for locations with high wind speed regimes. It features a DFIG generator.

BACHMANN SOLUTION
Some of the turbines in the GE1.5 series from General Electric are installed with a Bachmann controller. The NWT retrofit solution for GE1.5 turbines updates the Bachmann controller platform with new software without interfering with the hardware.
The NWT retrofit solution features the Service Tool to be installed in the existing service PC already installed in the turbine.
Unlike many other retrofit solutions, our software update leaves all wires, sensors, etc., untouched. Likewise, the pitch and converter system will remain as they were before the update, i.e., they will still use the commissioned GE parameter configurations.
In summary, the NWT retrofit solution for GE1.5 wind turbines is a safe solution, keeping the safety chain of the turbine intact while offering owners/operators a long list of advantages.
