The Indian wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon launched their S9X series turbines, including the S95, in 2011. Due to its asynchronous double-feed generator with high slip (Suzlon Flexi Slip SFS) and Pitch system, the S95 turbine is especially efficient and well suited for medium wind regimes and able to achieve an optimum energy yield with comparably low loads.
BACHMANN SOLUTION
The NWT retrofit solution for Suzlon S95 turbines utilizes the existing Bachmann controller platform with the new NWT software without interfering with the hardware.
The NWT retrofit solution features the Service Tool to be installed in the existing service PC already installed in the turbine.
Unlike many other retrofit solutions, our software update leaves all wires, sensors, etc., untouched. Likewise, the pitch and converter system will remain as they were before the update, i.e., they will still use the commissioned GE parameter configurations.
