Internet connection
A reliable site internet connection, minimum 50/50 Mbit symmetrical.
VPN connection

A VPN tunnel between the wind farm network and the NWT Azure environment, for secure, encrypted data transport. Provided by you, or supplied by us.

NWT-Controller software
Installed on the site’s local network. This edge component collects data from the turbines and manages the secure link to the cloud platform.
NWT-managed deployment
Don’t want to manage any of it? NWT provides full deployment support and can take on the connectivity infrastructure end to end.

SCADA FAQ

Yes. The platform is OEM-independent and built for mixed fleets — Suzlon, Senvion, GE, Gamesa and others sit side by side in the same fleet overview.

No. The NWT-Controller edge component handles data collection from the site, so the platform can be deployed on assets we have not retrofitted.
All data moves through an encrypted VPN tunnel between the wind farm network and the NWT Azure environment. User access to the platform is role-based.
A minimum of 50/50 Mbit symmetrical. Where site connectivity is a constraint, we can supply and manage it.

Either team. You can deploy against our documentation, or NWT can manage the deployment and the connectivity infrastructure end to end.
